A Candidate's Prayer

This prayer was penned anonymously by a Fusion Candidate in September 2009 on the whiteboard in the Camp New Hope Chapel.


A Fusion Candidate’s Prayer

Lord, I humble myself before You.
Please forgive me for I am a sinner.
I have lustful hands and eyes.
Forgive me, I am unclean.

Lord help me, for I am weak.
I cannot do this without You.
I know that when You are within me though,
I am without myself, and I have the strength.

Dear God, I pray for those I leave behind.
I pray that they also can be strong with You Lord,
That they feel it sinful to worry when I am in Your hands,
And that they can carry on in the Great Commission
Without their daughter, son, aunt, uncle, or best friend.

Lord, I thank You so much for this chance, this blessing,
No matter how the people see me.

Heavenly Father, let me be a clean vessel
To do Your mighty will.
